Hi Alessandro There are 2 parts to this: 1) The \"zip file absent\" is because your models are crashing immediately. As the zip files aren\'t created until well into the modelling, (in the case of the hadsm3, or \"slab ocean\" models, each 1/3 of the way through), BOINC can\'t find them to upload these result files, so it issues the error message. Ignore them. 2) The REAL error message is contained in the stderr out section for each of your models, (click on the + to see them), and indicates that you\'re running 64 bit BOINC, but haven\'t manually loaded some needed 32 bit files. There\'s a \'stickied\' post at the top of this Linux section of the forum about it, with a link pointing to this section of the BOINC Wiki about which extra files are needed, and how to load the files for the various versions of Linux that don\'t include them in the package. Unfortunately, this is on a server which is currently down for a University wide power upgrade, as per the messages on the BOINC site from a few days ago. It should be up again in 12+ hours. Hi Alessandro I am running 32 bit model ... since my machine is a old dual celeron: carrot:/local/BOINC # uname -a Linux carrot 2.4.21-251-smp #1 SMP Thu Sep 23 18:48:45 UTC 2004 i686 unknown And carrot:/local/BOINC # ./boinccmd --get_host_info timezone: 3600 domain name: carrot IP addr: 10.0.16.16 #CPUS: 2 CPU vendor: GenuineIntel CPU model: Celeron (Mendocino) [Family 6 Model 6 Stepping 5] CPU FP OPS: 221688034.188034 CPU int OPS: 339098667.665937 CPU mem BW: 1000000000.000000 OS name: Linux OS version: 2.4.21-251-smp mem size: 393752576.000000 cache size: 131072.000000 swap size: 526409728.000000 disk size: 107377713152.000000 disk free: 98389049344.000000 Thank in advance for your help |

This is the error line for your models: /local/BOINC/projects/climateprediction.net/hadsm3_um_6.08_i686-pc-linux-gnu: /lib/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.3\' not found (required by /local/BOINC/projects/climateprediction.net/hadsm3_um_6.08_i686-pc-linux-gnu) So your computer is missing a file that it needs. PS Your computer is VERY low on memory for running climate models. Recommended minimum is 500 Megs. More for some of the bigger models. Otherwise you\'ll experience a lot of data movement to and from the hard disk, slowing the progress a lot, adding to the wear and wear on the HD, and increasing the chances of models crashing from the program not getting the data it needs when it needs it. Also, because your computer is old, it will crash the (currently unavailable), hadam3p models, as these require SSE2. So this model type will need to be excluded from your model choice in your account prefs. Backups: Here |

This is the error line for your models: I cannot find the library ... I need 2.3 or I can also use 2.4 (or higher)? To avoid other error I have detached the project until I can fix this ... |
