http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/result.php?resultid=11420498 work unit: famous_u0ch_1999_200_006633300_5 This task seems to have disappeared into the internet bit bucket. It's showing as 'in progress' in the web interface, but I can't find hide nor hair of it on my PC. Other famouses, yes. u0ch, no. Is there any remedy? That is, either a place to go to download it, or a way to delete from the page? Not a biggie if not. Thanks in advance -- Greg PS apologies if this is a common problem -- I checked the readmes and the FAQ, and tried searching for it, but I can't think of good search terms. |

Your computer page shows that you have a quad core computer, but your list of models in progress shows 5. The latest few versions of BOINC has a new button at the top of the list, which shows either ALL WUs in the queue, or only those WUs currently being worked on. Perhaps you've clicked on this button, and the Tasks tab now shows only the 4 models currently being crunched. As you apparently have 5 in the queue, then one will get swapped out at a default interval of 60 minutes to allow the 5th one some crunch time. Try clicking the top button to see if all of the WUs show up. And if you do lose a model, the only way to get it back, is from a previously made back up. See my sig for info on this. Backups: Here |

Thanks, Les. No, the Boinc Manager is definitely showing all tasks, not just active. Also, I did a search (using 'locate', the Linux equivalent of Windows's "search|all files and folders|file name includes...") I do have files for the four tasks in progress in the climateprediction.net project folder, but no files with "u0ch" in their names anywhere on my PC, or in backups--and no unidentified files either. Also, all the tasks now running were sent after the one that's missing. It looks like the zip file for famous_u0ch never got to my PC. Just a glitch, I guess. There's good odds the project will get at least one usable result for this work unit from other computers, so not a major problem. |

Hi there I do have a similar problem. In my case I've reinstalled the OS some time ago - complete format of HDD, but one cpdn WU is still in progress over the web until 2023. I now longer have it on my machine. Shouldn't be deleted so it can be crunched by some one else? It looks this WU was never crunched completely. I doubt I can do anything else then report this issue?! Cheers |

Hi there This looks like a no resubmission WU that somehow got back into the queue. The 2023 deadline is the give-away. |
