Hi, I haven't had a new job in quite a while, but according to boinc, the project still uses hundreds of MB of disc space. How do I get rid of that? |

The 'project reset' button in BOINC Manager will do that. It should be used only when no job is in progress because it will remove any running jobs as well as tidy up old jobs. |

Thanks, but it doesn't seem to work... I tried this 3 times, but that happens is a couple of png-downloads. Boinc still shows 505MB of data for climateprediction. |

In that case there must be some detritus left behind by one or more crashed models. Look for directories containing CPDN model names in the BOINC data directory. Since you aren't running any models there shouldn't be any! If there are any such folders then just delete them. |

Thanks! It took some searching for this folder, but I finally found it. Deleting it caused boinc some trouble though. So I detached and re-attached and now everything works fine, thanks again :) |

The data returned... What is this? It's even become more! |

"This" is a new climate model that your computer downloaded and is running. If you don't want more work, you need to set the project to No new tasks in the Projects tab of the BOINC manager. Backups: Here |

Some failed tasks don't clean up after themselves. Look for folders in the projects/climateprediction.net folder that have task names, that start with had, that are not in the tasks list in the boincmanager GUI. You should be able to delete those folders and free up space. |

Hi there I've completed two HadCM3 short v7.24 models under linux recently, but data is still on the HDD. It looks completed similarly to failed ones also need to be manually wiped out. Am I correct? Cheers |

Certainly the last short models I completed didn't clean up after themselves. |

Certainly the last short models I completed didn't clean up after themselves. Did it manually. My last HadAM3P-HadRM3P Europe v7.23 did clean though. |
