I\'ve been running CPDN with BOINC for a few weeks and it\'s quite settled now but at first it downloaded three different workunits because the Host ID changed. (I\'m not sure why) One of these units did some work before it got the current one. Can I get BOINC to continue working on it when I finish this one and what will happen if I, for example, recompile my kernel or change my IP (which will happen when I move back to uni). I wish to be prepared against loss of work.
Thanks
Hugh

Hi, recompiling the kernel shouldn't matter, just major things like going from Linux->Windows (but who would do that? ;-)
As far as the old workunit/host, it's probably best not to bother, as it will get resent again.
