I have climateprediction set as one of my highest-priority projects, but have not received any work units in a couple weeks. When I force an update I get "Project has no tasks available", even though the server status page says otherwise. Is anyone else having similar issues? Does anyone know of a way to fix it? |

Everyone has been in the same situation for a few weeks, and there's a couple of threads about it in number crunching. More work will be available soon. Backups: Here |

I'm new. Been looking in forums as to why I'm getting "Connection Deferred". Not just "no new tasks" but haven't gotten a single one since adding this project. (Other projects "Seti" and "Asteroids" are doing great). Then I ran across this post dated back in Nov 2012. Is this problem still in effect today? |

If you check the link to server status on the left, 5th from the bottom you will see there is no work at the moment. Clicking, Communication is automatically deferred for an hour after connecting and getting no work to reduce server load. If you "update project" in BOINC during that hour the hour starts again from the time you click. There were about 5,000 tasks released the other day but with 20,000 computers chasing them most of us myself included didn't get any. |

About 5,000 models were released recently but snapped up very quickly by the large number of machines attached to the project. Very frustrating, I know. The best way to keep up to date is to subscribe to the news thread. [Edit: Oops, Dave got there first.] |
