hello

when i try to view the graphics by clicking \"show graphics\" then i just see a black window for half a second. after that i get a message in the log:
climateprediction.net - 2004-09-13 08:02:41 - Unrecoverable error for result 24sx_100120549_0 (Das System kann den angegebenen Pfad nicht finden. (0x3) - exit code 3 (0x3))

the german text says: \"the system can\'t find the given path\". but i never gave any path information to boinc.

however - the work unit stops crunching and i get a new one.

anyone familiar with this problem?

Hi DJ Hix,

I'm not familiar with such a problem perhaps revealing what VGA Card are you running and assurance that you have lastest drivers available should help track down the problem.
Win XP seems to be fine.
Also asure youself that BOINC 4.05 is installed.

Sort of, but I don't know how to fix it.

I also get the the black window for a second, then my system hangs. No error messages like you are seeing. Reset is the only option when this occurs on my system.

I've just resigned myself to the fact that I'll never see the pretty pictures. ;)

Guys,

Have you check/upgrade your video card OpenGL drivers? Most of the video problems are related to this.

Hope this may help!

I'm running an ATI x800 Pro using Omega drivers based on the most recent Catalysts.

Checked my OpenGL drivers with glview, and the only thing it sees a problem with is my card doesn't have 8bit palette texture support. It says older apps will have poor performance. Is this screensaver running an 8bit palette?
