I'm getting update failed page every time I try to update my computer preferences.

Problems?

Edit: False alarm...seems to have corrected itself.

Many climateprediction.net pages are still / again responding with "error" (nothing else, no Apache Server Error nor HTML Error).

eg: The Home Page - http://www.climateprediction.net/ = "error"

eg: The User Preferences page for setting Models to Process - http://climateprediction.net/content/models-used-cpdn = "error"

I encounter this while attempting to add AUS/NZ Models to my Preferences, since the default for New Models is "no"... (probably the only reason why those AUS-NZ models aren't already GONE...)

I've found that you CAN modify the Models Used - but ONLY by ignoring the list of Links for each Model and instead accessing the page linked at the bottom of the "climateprediction.net preferences" page "Edit climateprediction.net preferences" (which points to the climateapps.oerc.ox.ac.uk server...)

I think that the error message is because the servers are under a lot of stress from users.
I had it for a seconds a few hours ago, but then it cleared up.

It would be interesting to know whether anyone gets the rather terse 'error' message for a page from the BOINC part of the site, since one theory is that the content management system for the non-BOINC part of the site (e.g. http://www.climateprediction.net/) produces the error when updating.

I can't find the preferences page mentioned (i.e. http://climateprediction.net/content/models-used-cpdn), having only ever used the link from the account page.

(The http://climateprediction.net/content/models-used-cpdn link is currently producing 'error', but previously returned 'page not found'.)

If I click on the link for each model type under my preferences I get an error that the Page can't be found, so you can't get any information on the different models to see what is required.

Thanks, Conan. Your message has now been passed on to the project team.

(My model preferences weren't updating at the weekend, but that problem has gone away: maybe it was my machine.)

The links now go to the page for the relevant experiment.
