Hi hi:) I installed this project yesterday and have yet to receive a wu. I have tried "update" and still no wu. I'm running several other @home projects without any issues so i'm a bit confused why this one isn't working. Are wus being sent out? I visited the "server status" page and if i read it correctly there are no tasks ready to send out. Is this the issue, or am i reading it wrong? I don't know if this is the proper board to place this question in. If it is not, please direct me to the proper board. Thanks, Andy |

If you click on the server status page, (5th up from the bottom on the menu on the left) you will see that there isn't any work available at the moment. If your computer is on 24/7 you are quite likely to pick up a task or two that have been previously crashed by someone else. From other threads, Andy is working on sorting out more work units at present. As an aside, it is not worth constantly clicking the update button as this will just make your machine have to wait another hour before it can try again. If you click before the hour is up, the hour starts again. Most of us on this project crunch something else when there is no work available. |

Andrew, A new release of European Region tasks is available. Have you received any? Dave's advice about not clicking the 'update' button is well taken. Doing so, works against the participant. Thx Dave and Astro for your speedy replies!
Yes, i just got home and noticed i do now have a European Region task being crunched. And thank you both for the advice about the "update" button. I did notice a timer that would reset when i clicked it yesterday. I always have 5 tasks from various projects running at any given moment so my pc never sits idle. I'm just impatient and wanted this new project to get crunching ASAP, LOL. Thanks Again, Andy |
