I have this message in the Event Logs on both my Macs

"Not accepting requests from this host"

I am running BOINC 7.2.42, which I think is current, so not sure what my computers did that was bad.

Can I get unlocked?

Thanks

Simon

Unfortunately, your computers are hidden so it isn't obvious to anyone else what's going wrong or even whether the computer is blocked by the project for one of a number of possible problems.

Have a look at the "Maximum daily WU quota per CPU" on the computer details page: if the setting is "-1" then the computer has been blocked by the project for some reason.

Yes that parameter is set to -1...

What do I need to do to figure out why it got set and get it unset?

Thanks

One possibility, is that you were using 7.2.39 until recently.

This version has a bad bug, and the user database was scanned to locate these computers.
Then they were blocked, and an email sent asking the owners to upgrade to the latest version.
But a few thousand emails bounced, because the people had changed their email address and not updated their account info, so there was no way to contact them.

As you're now running the new version, you're computers can be unblocked.

I seem to have the same issue, with "Maximum daily WU quota per CPU=-1/day" set on my active computer. I'm running 7.2.42, and I have three tasks that have been completed but unhanded for some time (two ready to report, one with a computation error). I've tried updating repeatedly, but these tasks never upload.

Thanks

Yes, that's the same issue ewulf. Your computer is listed as running the broken BOINC version. I'll ask the project team to unblock it.
