I want to be sure BOINC starts up at power up on my Ubuntu 14.04 box and starts processing climatepredection data without any user intervention.

Can someone please give me some idea how to do this?

Thanks,
Phil

for windows it is: Tools --> Options --> Select: Run Manager at Login. I may be wrong but I think it is the same for Unix/Linux/Ubuntu ?
in any event there will be somebody who will be able to correct me.
I hope this helps.

in ubuntu you can use the menu button, settings >Session and Startup Click application autostart, >Add and you can then browse to where the Boinc Manger executable is (/home/boinc/boincmgr in my case)

- It will be somewhere else if you used the version from your package manager but I can't remember where.
