I've just crashed out several work units. I had a message saying that hadcm3s_something had crashed, and that Windows could look for a solution. I have not run any recent updates. It was running fine until a few minutes ago. This is a new error. I have suspended CPDN activity until I know how to fix this. Any ideas what's wrong and how to fix it? Thanks. |

That type of error seems to be occurring a lot these days, so I've started a thread in our project email about it. |

Niall One of those tasks was due to an old problem: the tasks, issued in 2015, had been marked as not needed, but BOINC ignores this and resends when they become due again. I've just gotten caught by 7 of them. They're easy to see: No batch number. And there's probably lots more where they came from. :( |

Thanks for that, Les. That error doesn't explain the others I crashed. Is there now a fix for this problem? Thanks Niall |

Is there now a fix for this problem? I notice they are all crashing after just a couple of seconds of cpu time. Makes me wonder if somehow you have got a corrupted file or more among the downloaded executable files. May be worth detaching from the project and reattaching which will force BOINC to download new versions of the required files. I think project reset does the same thing. |
