May or may not be Mac specific. I am running OS X 10.11.6. Recently downloaded a new task and that is running OK (executable is wah2_8.12_i686-apple-darwin). A 2nd task is failing ti download (executable wah2_8.24_i686-apple-darwin). Error messages are: Info: SSL certificate problem: self signed certificate in certificate chain, and HTTP error: Peer certificate cannot be authenticated with given CA certificates. BOINC version was 7.6.33. I updated to 7.6.34 which made no difference. Suggestions? Thanks |

Difficult to know as currently virtually all tasks available are ones that have already failed once or possibly twice. It also means that I haven't had any new tasks for Linux or windows (WINE on Linux) for over a week so if it is a generalised problem rather than Mac specific or specific to the task in question it may be a while till the problem is spotted by others. On reflection, I notice the two tasks which your computer downloaded yesterday are both on their final chance having failed on two other computers previously. Not sure if one of them is the one failing to download a file. If so I suspect it is a problem with the file for that specific task. |

Thanks for reporting this: it does look like a Mac problem. The Weather At Home 2 8.24 release has been available for Windows since 3 November 2016 and the new Mac version since 30 March 2017 (Applications). I've been on watch for 8.24 downloads since that new release but my Mac has not got any models. However, it will clear its backlog of 8.12 models in a day or so: at that point I'll detach the project and reattach with HTTPS (if that's allowed) and see whether any new model works in that situation - should any appear. |

It's still not possible to attach to the secure server, but it can be done very easily by changing the first part of the url for a page. Use this instead: https://www.cpdn.org Start with your Account page, (and re-save any bookmark), then, using the new account page, move on to any other page that you have bookmarked, and re-save it. And this is where it can get tedious. :( It may also be necessary to change/update security permissions in your browser. |

All the pages seem to open automagically with https: on my browsers now. |

... as Les said, it isn't possible from BOINC Manager to connect to CPDN using HTTPS, or at least not using any of the URL variants I tried. However, I've had no problem viewing the Web pages on the message board with HTTPS. I also updated the BOINC Manager to 7.6.34. There was a small batch of HADCM3S today, which has a Mac application, but my Mac didn't get any. So Fred's problem remains. |

Fred's Mac currently has 2 tasks running, which have the same start date and time, so it looks like the problem may have solved itself. One task is 8.12, the other 8.24 |

My Mac presently has 1 task running, the v8.12. There are 6 of the v8.24, which are still failing to download. |
