This project reports that my device doesn't have enough disk space to perform the work. It reports that I need ~1 GB of free disk space and yet my OS reports that I have ~74 GB of available disk space on the drive to which BOINC is installed. Any way around this?

Have you checked the settings in the Boinc Manager? There are 2 settings under “options” and computing preferences” that allows you to set how much of your hard drive you wish to allow Boinc to use. What are they set at?

Specifically go to options-Computing preferences - disk and memory.

The here are actually three settings.

1. Use no more than x GB. I leave this one unchecked.
2. Leave at least x GB Free. (10GB on my boxes.)
3. Use no more than x% of total.

I can't remember what the defaults are but I know that on one machine which only had quite a small ssd (bought when anything other than a small one cost an arm and a leg) and I ran into the same problem with the default settings.
