This has been discussed before but the last post is about half a year old so: I have now 5 units that have been waiting for upload but every time it tries it always says in the event log "Temporary failed upload [unit name]. connect() failed". And the transfer tab says "Upload: re-trying in: [time] (postponed by project: [time]) Every other project is uploading just fine. Is the server just too busy? |

I've got 4 trickle uploads from one project that are partially completed but won't finish. They may have been partially uploaded and gotten hung up when the computer was taken off-line for 10 days. The event log is claiming transient http error, but the rest of the transfer queue cleared and nothing else is waiting. Is there a way to restart those uploads from scratch? Other options? |

I'm guessing that you mean zips, NOT trickles. (See my post here for the difference.) And if you're talking about this task: wah2_cam25_a0k3_200405_18_691_011370272_0, then the uploads may never complete, as there seems to be a problem with the upload server in Mexico. I had 3 of those batch 691; one completed normally, and the other two refused to upload a few of the zip files. So I let them complete, and then aborted the remaining zips. They're very old tasks, and if the researchers need them, then they'll just have to issue another batch. Several other people have had problems with files going to Mexico, and our project people have talked to them. So it's up to them to sort out what's wrong. As for restarting the uploads from scratch, the ones that I had ALWAYS started again from scratch, every time a new zip was created and uploaded. |

Thanks Les, you pegged it. I'll abort those remaining zips. |
