I got two WUs from batch 564 hadcm3s issued April 2017. Do not know whether it's been resolved. hadcm3s_83yo_201412_120_564_011007443 hadcm3s_836f_201412_120_564_011006426_2 <core_client_version>7.9.3</core_client_version> <![CDATA[ <message> process exited with code 22 (0x16, -234)</message> <stderr_txt> SIGSEGV: segmentation violation Stack trace (10 frames): /mnt/2home/boinc-client/projects/climateprediction.net/hadcm3s_um_8.34_i686-pc-linux-gnu(boinc_catch_signal+0x67)[0x846bdc7] linux-gate.so.1(__kernel_sigreturn+0x0)[0xf7fbc070] /mnt/2home/boinc-client/projects/climateprediction.net/hadcm3s_um_8.34_i686-pc-linux-gnu[0x839e89e] /mnt/2home/boinc-client/projects/climateprediction.net/hadcm3s_um_8.34_i686-pc-linux-gnu[0x80d49c7] /mnt/2home/boinc-client/projects/climateprediction.net/hadcm3s_um_8.34_i686-pc-linux-gnu[0x80818df] /mnt/2home/boinc-client/projects/climateprediction.net/hadcm3s_um_8.34_i686-pc-linux-gnu[0x83e6fd1] /mnt/2home/boinc-client/projects/climateprediction.net/hadcm3s_um_8.34_i686-pc-linux-gnu[0x84018f9] /mnt/2home/boinc-client/projects/climateprediction.net/hadcm3s_um_8.34_i686-pc-linux-gnu[0x83f867f] /mnt/2home/boinc-client/projects/climateprediction.net/hadcm3s_um_8.34_i686-pc-linux-gnu[0x840346d] /lib/i386-linux-gnu/libc.so.6(__libc_start_main+0xf1)[0xf7cb0e81] Edit: Are these relevant at all, they were issued 2 years ago (2017) and were resent two years later. Where were they hanging? I have a 3rd one running ok so far, but should I abort it? |

I doubt that the output from those models would be used. As you said, it was 2 years ago. About 60% of those work units from that batch completed successfully. If they had needed more output, they probably would have issued a new batch for it rather than waiting 2 years for the stragglers to come it. However, I will ask Sarah if these tasks should even be regenerating. It seems odd. |

Thanks, it seems few hundred of this model were generated on 11 march and can be seen at the Enhanced Climateprediction (CPDN) status page of Tullus. I will keep running the 3rd WUs at least until the first zip. |

[quote]Thanks, it seems few hundred of this model were generated on 11 march and can be seen at the Enhanced Climateprediction (CPDN) status page of Tullus. /quote] That would explain the increase in the number of hadcm3s tasks running on the Project Status Page. I looked for and couldn't find evidence of a new batch that had escaped the batch list and other places where new work is discussed. |

It uploaded its 2nd zip, no second trickle and having in mind the output will not be used I will abort it. |
