I installed BOINC two days ago on a double Xeon machine running Win2K. It seemed to be working fine (CPDN on one CPU and SETI on the other) until this morning, when I double-clicked on the BOINC icon in the taskbar and nothing happened. The icon\'s context menu also didn\'t come up. When I tried starting BOINC from the Start menu I got a message box with the above error. I tried rebooting the machine but the problem remains. The CPUs are at 100% but the BOINC GUI refuses to show itself. |

The "failed to clean..." error is normal, if you try to start more than one instance of BOINC. You can use the command line to reset the project: 'cd' to your BOINC directory, enter "boinc_cli -reset_project URL" where URL has to be replaced by the actual project URLs. Note: you will lose any unsent work. Raphael Schweizer Schweizer Informatik |
