sudo  apt-get  install  lib32ncurses5  lib32z1  lib32stdc++-6-dev

Needs to be replaced by

sudo  apt-get  install  lib32ncurses6  lib32z1  lib32stdc++-7-dev

Tried after finding package not there on fresh install and still running five minutes in.

Thanks Dave. I edited that command into the posts I have in the sticky here.

Thanks George,

Just doing it on another machine and the lib32ncurses5 had to be replaced by ncurses6. Don't know why that didn't come up the first time unless there was a change between the first install and second one by Ubuntu?

Have changed the line in my post below.

Curious. Does 19.10 bring any improvements to crunching over 18.04? That's all my Linux machines are used for.
These n216 tasks sure run a while.

I have not seen any difference between versions in crunching ability. That goes back to the days when I used Mandrake and all the iterations of distros I have used between then and now.

The only differences I have found are the ease or lack of in finding the 32bit dependencies.
