Running Climate Prediction on Linux Mint. Disk> says I'm at 96.38 GB disk usage for BOINC projects; the other two take up far less. How do I fix this? I found this because I got this message: climateprediction.net: Notice from server UK Met Office HadAM4 at N216 resolution needs 1112.09MB more disk space. You currently have 795.26 MB available and it needs 1907.35 MB. Wed 25 Nov 2020 07:05:13 AM MST |

Your Tasks list show that your computers are crashing large numbers of models. These will probably be leaving some files behind, which need to be manually deleted. And fixing whatever is wrong would be good too, as currently your efforts are rather useless. |

And fixing whatever is wrong would be good too, as currently your efforts are rather useless. Things that reduce the chances of these tasks crashing: 1: Make sure you have "leave non-gpu tasks in memory while suspended ticked. Avoid shutting the computer down. Computers that are shut down regularly have far more tasks failures with big CPDN tasks. I am sure this is partly because shorter tasks are much more likely to run to completion without any interruption but it isn't only that. In particular hard resets by pressing the power button or having a, "helpful spouse" unplug your machine in order to use a vacuum cleaner makes crashes even more likely! OK. I removed both projects I had going, and re-installed them. Memory consumption back to normal. Thanks, all. |
