I joined and for a few days there have been no work units. Is this project dead?

Far from dead. Best place to check what is going on in the number crunching section of the fora. There should be some more of the new WAH2ri East Asia batches soon. This project has ever since it moved from producing all the work in house to packaging and distributing it for universities and researchers around the world, had a pattern of drought or deluge with regards to work availability. If you are running a version of MacOS or Linux the wait might be longer. There will at the moment be the occasional resend of Windows work but the tasks will be gobbled up by the thousands of computers waiting for more work.

Edit: I wonder if it would be worth having something about this erratic pattern of work availability on the front page of the website or where it can be seen when people sign up? (Or maybe all the moderators who answer these questions should have a stock answer saved to copy and paste as it does crop up on a regular basis!

Yes, good point about the nature of the work. The CPDN website is undergoing a redesign. I will mention this to the head of the group.

Joined up with CPDN in January, 2025, have as yet to receive a single unit of work.
Been using BOINC since the beginning, SETI@Home prior. I have three other projects running, including one added at the same time as CPDN.
What's going on?

CPDN does not issue batches continuously. It depends what projects are active. Some projects are in development and need time before going into production.
