I have a multi-socket extension lead which has one master socket which has to have something running in order to power the other sockets. The monitor kept turning off and I assumed a problem with my brand new Ryzen9 box. It took me several days and numerous re-installs of the operating system before I twigged that I needed to plug the monitor into another socket. I will inform the makers so they can warn customers. |

Most of that sort of power strip have a "sensitivity dial" or knob somewhere that can be tweaked to adjust how much current it needs to see to believe things are in use. |
