Today I was reminded of the risks involved in running testing software. I updated 8.1.0 today and had an extra project added. (app_testproject) I was also unable to download anything from any project. The event log showed, network activity suspended by user despite the fact that clicking on the activity menu showed network activity always was checked. After seeing a response from Richard on the BOINC fora I posted an issue on git-hub. and got a reply fairly quickly.

Oops! I neglected to remove some debugging code.

I have had the odd niggle before from running the nightly build but this is the first time it stopped me getting any work. If CPDN main or testing had work for Linux at the moment I would have reverted back to 8.0.4 which while alpha I have found to be pretty solid.

And all working normally again after an update this morning.
