Any way to get an Invitation code for dev,cpdn,org at this time?

I can only tell you what I was told a few years ago.

"Invitations to join the dev project are given to people who have a track record over time of being willing and able to help in solving problems on the forums. Most of those are also moderators on the forums. I am not aware of anyone new joining the dev project since I joined 8 or more years ago apart from Glenn who is doing volunteer work as a scientist. I suspect no more invitations will go out until such time as those working at the project feel the need for a greater number of testers. Quite often testing batches are as low as 5 tasks so it is not unusual for batches to be released and most of us not get any.

Sorry if this is not the answer you were hoping for.

I don't know how other projects manage their testing branches.
