Is it possible to pause individual projects (eg. seti, climate prediction, lhc etc), without detaching them?

I have tried setting the CPU usage to 0 but it resets to what it was before.

Is it possible to do this?
If not it should be.

Im asking this because I have a certain project that will not stop running even if its priority gets set to 0.1 (should change away in less than a minute), but it keeps going so I cannot continue my other projects.

Next BOINC version seems to be able to do this ...

Supporting BOINC, because it is really a great concept !

This is rather a future BOINC version, not necessarily the next one. There is a new cross OS GUI comming that appears to do this.
