"I think it is interesting to determine how large the silent majority is - those who do their calculations without comment." Why? I'm curious. |

"To see what percentage those who post are and if it is worth the time-wastage to deal with whiners who seem to be about 50% who post on the other projects." Everyone has a right to post and talk about whatever they feel is neccessary, it is up to the rest whether they choose to reply, or ignore. There are posts I find trivial and somewhat puzzling, I probably have been guilty of posting some myself, but we are a complicated species. We find different ways to express ourselves, some, which others find highly amusing, might think why bother. As the old cliche goes At the end of the Day....does it really matter? I post a message when I feel the urge...don't worry, I'm taking medication to cure it.;o) You've got to remember though, some folk love having a good winge, they're not happy unless they're miserable.:o) |

> To see what percentage those who post are and if it is worth the time-wastage > to deal with whiners who seem to be about 50% who post on the other projects. This is kind of a curious comment... How do you propose to deal with the whiners? And what percentage of active/posting users would you like to see before you consider it worth your time to do so? <a href="http://www.boinc.dk/index.php?page=user_statistics&project=cpdn&userid=355"><img border="0" height="80" src="http://355.cpdn.sig.boinc.dk?188"></a> |

Your always going to have a silent group and a vocal group... Who cares? What difference does this really make to the crunching we are doing? As long as people aren't doing silly TOSable things does it matter who posts and who doesn't? Cafe CPDN is for rambling musings anyways. When you find the answer...next search for how many angels can dance on the head of a pin :P It's probably a more important question anyways... click sig for info on a great team. (which doesn't seem to work at the moment) |

Oh my goodness...."Your always going to have.... a vocal group..." we're not going to have community singing, are we? :o) Now, where have I seen that before? ;o) <a href="http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/thefinalfrontear/index.html"> <img height="93" src="http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/thefinalfrontear/light1.JPG" border="0"></a> |

"When you find the answer...next search for how many angels can dance on the head of a pin :P It's probably a more important question anyways..." Would that be HowManyAngelsCanDanceOnTheHeadofaPin@Home? HMACDOTHOAP@Home? They should probably shorten it to HMA@Home. I look forward to the opening of this project, soon to be followed by projects that will delve into "how much wood can a woodchuck chuck" and "how many peppers did Peter Piper pick". And how about all of those troublesome story problems that involve trains leaving at different times and speeds? If we can put rovers on Mars, we should be able to answer these questions once and for all. :) Pam <img src="http://boinc.mundayweb.com/cpdn/stats.php?userID=264"> |

Howz about a Clones@Home project? Or FinetheWMD@Home for brain dead Republicans who think they're the silent majority? Get our cybersecurity chief to write the app. code. ;P <img src="http://boinc.mundayweb.com/cpdn/stats.php?userID=35&trans=off"><a href="http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/thefinalfrontear/index.html"> Team Site Link</a>"The world is a progressively realized community of interpretation." |
