hi,

my cp processing run stopped at the weekend with an 144 (I think unfortunately I have not saved the message window). After that the client downloaded one work package after another and each failed with the same error until the daily quota was exceeded.

I wonder if it is possible to restart the work package since all files are still stored in the BOINC directory.

I should mention that I was runinng BOINC 4.05 until then and have now updated to 4.09.

bye, Alexander

Hi Alexander,

Error code -144 is a shared memory error. Check <a href="http://www.climateprediction.net/board/viewtopic.php?t=2406&amp;p=20902#20902">this post</a> on the phpBB forum for further details. If your problem is due to BOINC crashing and leaving orphaned CPDN models running (you can check this by exiting from BOINC and checking for running hadsm3* programs in task manager) you'll have to stop the hadsm3* programs in task manager before starting BOINC up again.

The work that gets done by your computer is controlled by the client_state.xml file in your BOINC directory, and that almost certainly no longer has details of the old jobs. You can leave them on your system until you get more work from the CPDN servers, then (assuming you're running the GUI) check your work tab to see what jobs are still valid. You can safely delete the XML and ZIP files and directories for any jobs not shown on the tab.
