I am running cp.net (BOINC-Version) on a relative slow computer at work, which is on about 9 hours a day. I calculated, that until the report deadline (2005-08-14) the work package won´t be finished (according to the time \"To Completion\"). Will the workunit be deleted if this date arrives or will my computer get a \"prolongation\"? Thanx for any help! |

I'm actually not sure, I think it may go through but if it's that slow, you don't want to wait a year to find out! It's probably best to run other BOINC projects on slower machines, CPDN is orders of magnitude more complex. |

It's probably best to run other BOINC > projects on slower machines, CPDN is orders of magnitude more complex. > I also have a slower machine running CPDN. The only reashon that I keep it running CPDN is to test a fix that has been promised from BOINC to respect deadlines. If this machine ever stops downloading other work, and starts running CPDN only, I will know that the bug is fixed (the current estimate is late august of 2010 for completion). ONce that happens, I will dosconnect the machine from CPDN. |
