Since I'm the owner of an AMD64 myself, I will probably look into eventually making boinc_4.xx_x86_64 clients & "matching" CPDN. I haven't had much luck with Fortran compilers, the Absoft one works on Mac but not their AMD64. But once the initial launch "rush" is over I hope to investigate. A big problem for us is we run a pretty tight budget so it may not be feasible to spend hundreds or thousands of pounds on compilers. And "corporate sponsorship" sort of seems to elude us; I suppose because Intel wouldn't want to be on anything that AMD is on, and the same with Apple Mac's, and MS with Windows wouldn't want something that people are running Linux & Mac's on etc. |

I hope I get better performance with the 64 bit Client. I will install the Win64 Beta for that, because I get ni Internet conenction on Linux <img src="http://www.funkymonkey.org/boinc/sig.php?id=87&proj=cpdn"> |
