Yes but not with CPDN (i'm testing it on Einstein). > Now this is getting silly ;-) 4.17..... > Anybody tried this one yet? > > Marj > |

I've just installed it on one of my machines and am monitoring it. Everything seems to be fine so far. It's currently crunching on two CPDN WUs as I type and doesn't seem to have any problems. However it will be some time before I complete a unit to be returned, so I can't offer anything concerning that for awhile. I'll try to keep you posted as things come up. www.clintcollins.org - spouting off at the speed of site |

From the BOINC_dev Mailing List: We have released what we believe is going to be a build good enough for public release. Let us know if there is anything wrong, if not, we'll be releasing soon. Rom Walton Professor Desty Nova Researching Karma the Hard Way |

Hi, Marj999 It's not silly, it's just testing "under development" Boinc versions. BOINC devs are trying to release a stable public release for E@H and P@H (4.13 is not stable for E@H) and keep on correcting bugs that us, users, are reporting or that they are discovering themselves. They do theirs best, I think. Arnaud |

I know they do. I was only teasing. ;-) I'm still on 4.15 but my CPDN model is a long way into phase 3 and I don't want to have to go through all the hassle of restoring it if 4.17 crashes it. But I notice that on the Einstein boards they are recommending it and the CPDNers seem to think its ok so I might give it a go tomorrow..... Marj _________________________________ |

Rom Walton should be releasing tomorrow BOINC 4.18. So you might want to wait. The diference to 4.17 is a bug correction to the proxy setings, and code to prevent/correct BOINC from spamming the Project Servers. Professor Desty Nova Researching Karma the Hard Way |

Boinc 4.18 released :o) @Marj999: You're right to wait. One of my team mate lost his CPDN WU at 70% upgrading 4.13->4.17. He hadn't done any back-up. Well, 4.18 is running fine on my machines :o) Regards. Arnaud |

Using BOINC 4.18 without a problem in all projects. CPDN goes fine. |
