Posted this on the Linux/Unix page but it now occurs to me that this is not a Linux-only issue. Has anyone else, on any platform, seen this?

Boinc 4,13 on P4 3.0 HT running SuSE Linux 9.0, tens of gig of free boinc space. This machine does nothing except boincCPDN, occasional updates, and this message.

A new (for me) boinc experience. Up at 0330 this morning to baby-sit Dbox's second upload in as many days, my bleary eyes observed:

One wonders why there was no Work-Unit waiting in the wings. ("Connect to Network..." set to "7 Days".) That was my 48th boinc completed run, all on HT machines, and it is the first such experience; heretofore, there was waiting work.

The good news is that, while covering its embarrassment over failure to have work waiting, boinc was too busy to interfere with one on the runs ~70 TS into start of the second of a pair after upload, as it is too-often wont to do. (Couldn't avoid a bit of gratuitous anthropomorphism; the devil made me do it.)


Only 11 shopping months 'til Xmas...! (The devil again... .)
