I heard about you folks on the CBC the other day... Good idea, but still not very accessable to non-geeks. I browsed through the board and most of you are very techno-savvy. I am no stranger to these computers, but I don't have the will to troubleshoot a non-working donate-my-pc program. My client gives me error messages about sockets and passwords on my screensaver which suggest that it's not doing squat, though the messages tab shows me way more info than I want or need. I'm not sure if I accomplished anything in the few days I've been running the thing. Maybe I have, maybe not. So basically I'm outta here, and I just wanted to let you know why it didn't work for me. Feedback is healthy, right? |

Computers can be confusing at times, and whatever you want to do with them they can answer back with messages that mean nothing to the user. But there is usually a helpline or message board, like this one, with somebody willing to guide you through the process. There is also a great deal of documentation available if you prefer to sort things out for yourself. The thing with computers is not to run scared, they are only machines :). |
