Looking at the questions on the forums, I've noticed quite a few are repeats. I tried to use search to get references to previous answers (not just mine ;) ) but absolutely no joy. Can anyone look into this? And please let's have the main forum up again. Forum search Site search |

Oh, yeah - i'm not the only one that search engine in BOINC is not working....i almost though the it's my computer illiteracy... > Looking at the questions on the forums, I've noticed quite a few are repeats. > I tried to use search to get references to previous answers (not just mine ;) > ) but absolutely no joy. > Can anyone look into this? > And please let's have the main forum up again. > |

I've sometimes had problems hitting enter in the query box, but clicking the search button has always worked. The only place the search link is available from is the main pages for Questions and Problems and Message Boards. It'd be nice if it was available from all pages of the forums. |

I meant, the search box is working, just the answers aren't there. I'm thinking of topics like "not enough disk space allocated, "failed to cleanup sockets interface"... which I'm sure you're all familiar with. Forum search Site search |

Or is this not what you mean? There appears to be helpful answers to this problem under some of the threads that were in the hits. |

Hitting Enter gives zilch but clicking Search buttos gives search results. MANY thanks! > It'd be nice if it was available from all pages of the forums. Definetely. |

Sorry, Geophi, I hadn't read your message properly. I was referring to the search site box at the top of every page. It is nice and visible, but doesn't get you anywhere. Could it be replaced with the other link? btw, I had put a similar link to keyword search on a page for my students and nobody used it. Apparently they didn't realize it would open a search box. (And I understand that better now  ) So I rewrote it into a form. Forum search Site search |
