Somehow my BOINC crashed (maybe due to the fact that I ran out of disk space, but I guess that shouldn't be causing permanent problems) and now it has resetted all my projects, also CPDN. But still, the data is available on my hard drive. How can I get BOINC to continue on this data, because now it attempts to get new workunits from the server... |

If you've backed up the BOINC directory before the crash, you can restore it by directly replacing the complete BOINC directory with backup. No backup then I believe you can't restore to a previous state of the project. I backup my BOINC directory daily using a automated method which stops BOINC then copies all of the BOINC directory before restarting BOINC crunching. This requires more disk space but you could get it to compress the backup. This has allowed me restore to a previous state of BOINC when it has fatally crashed. |

Hi Kamukwam, The result for workunit 30g4_000161965 hasn't been uploaded so far, so it should still be in your client_state.xml file. As long as the file has references to it in 6 <file_info> sections it should be possible to recover it. If that's the case and you're keen you could sign up on the Team Picard forums (link in my sig image) and PM me the file (same user name, message format of {file contents}). You'll have to stop BOINC before doing this and not run it up again until I can get back to you tomorrow (to make sure there are no changes in the file).
