Message 8926 - Posted: 8 Feb 2005, 17:42:30 UTC

I always get the followin message:

climateprediction.net - 2005-02-08 19:19:24 - Message from server: No work available
climateprediction.net - 2005-02-08 19:19:24 - No work from project

I get this only in the climate project. All other projects run well.

I run 3 projects at the same time each with 33%. I got 1600 MHz, 512 RAM and 1 GB hard disk for use.

Any ideas why the server has no work for me?

thanks

CP needs about 700Mb of disk space. I am not sure if having 3 projects results in BOINC thinking that only 1/3 of the 1GB is available to CP. Is is possible to free up at least 3GB for BOINC and see if that enables works to be downloaded?

Recently, I have heard another report of "Message from server: No work available / No work from project".

It might be a server side problem.
TOLU: do we have a job in queue?

I'm getting exactly the same 'no work' message. My 2 jobs both died this morning. (um .. was it about the time I resynced my clock?). BOINC sent the results up, then requested more work. Zip. Retried several times to no avail.

Same here, my work unit had an error and terminated because it kept retrying and couldn't get new work. Fortunately it did not trash that particular model and it's now running again at 96.5% completed.

As of 0200 UTC/GMT 9 February, it still can't download a new model.

I don't think the workunits crashed because you resynced your clock. It seems to be a general error to a lot of clients. me too. My jobs died without any reason on my part. They simply crashed on computing.

Ok I'll forget the clock :)

Good news - I'm finally getting work units again, after a 12-hour 'outage'. Up and running.
