On a slightly different topic, why does every report have to have a "health warning"? While the cause of global warming is still fiercely contested, many scientists are convinced that it is a reality. Most environmentalists believe rising levels of carbon dioxide from industry and motor vehicles in the atmosphere are trapping the earth’s heat and causing a harmful ‘greenhouse’ effect. The statement "99.95% of climate scientists are convinced that humans are causing global warming." would be more accurate. I would challenge them to find any environmentalist or scientist who disagreed with the statement. "rising levels of carbon dioxide from industry and motor vehicles in the atmosphere are trapping the earth’s heat and causing a ‘greenhouse’ effect." The only possible debate is about the "harmful" bit. ____________________________
boinc forum and United Kindom team, my climate change blog. |
