I'm running 4 BOINC projects:

SETI@home
Einstein@Home
climateprediction.net
ProteinPredictorAtHome
I see that this project has preference fields that no other project has:
Keep enough work on disk to last between 5 and 7 days
This option is nice because I don't have to depend on the network or scheduling servers and I can process work units faster than the scheduling servers can dish them out (quite often I get an error message saying they do not have any work for me, but since I have extra work in my queue, I'm always busy).
The problem is that when I use this option, my other projects get other fields overlayed.
For example, I had Connect to network about every 0.01 days (15 minutes) set in my other 3 projects before I updated this field here.
After I activate this change (UPDATE from the PROJECT tab), my other 3 projects look like this: Connect to network about every 5 days |

There is only one set of global preferences. When set at any site they will propagate to all the others. The 'connect to network' setting is the newer version of the high and low watermark settings. It will try to keep a minimum of that much work on hand. BOINC WIKI BOINCing since 2002/12/8 |
