Does the current Boincgui work with CPDN? I run the climate client, but the boincgui gives no status of \"running\" as it does with SetiBoinc, only shows \"ready\"....etc. Xi3 |

CPDN uses BOINC 4.02. This can be found on the download page. When you say you run the climate client, are you talking the standalone client? That is not BOINC. |

Over on the otherside BoincSeti, Poorboy mentioned stats are granted incrementally with CPDN every 8 hrs or so... Am using Boinc 4.02 Hef... |

On the machines that I am running the beta , the gui looks and behaves just like the public release does for either seti or predictor. You are aware that the current climateprediction.net boinc beta version is not the same as the current public release\s for seti and predictor and is not currently compatible with them either. You need to make sure that you are running the version as per the link contained in your climate prediction boinc beta invite email. If you are running the none boinc version of CPDN , then the boinc gui will not show anything for it as it is outside the scope of boinc. Shady |

Shady, I am running as per the link of invitation, I set up a seperate directory for CPDN, and setiboinc has it's own directory, of course I am not running both projs. simultaneously. Yes I am aware CPDN and SB are not the same.... |

(that will teach me to answer the phone mid reply :D) When I look at the boinc gui I can see the cputime increasing by the second , the progress changes slowly , the est time to compleation changes , and the status shows as running ? (which is the same as for seti or predictor). I have not tried to run climate prediction boinc beta on a machine that was previously running another version of boinc as I have kept them seperate and wonder if something in the registry is the cause of your problem ? Do you know if the CPDN client is actually "crunching" or not ? (aka cpu usage) Shady |

I just tried the gui again, same as b4, "status" ready, cpu time, to completion...nothing, I do however have a deadline report date...it also shows me attached to proj, application hadsm3 402, name 01|3+_000027040_1 @Hef...I have setiboinc and climteprediction in seperate directories, I am not seasoned enough to know whether there is some conflict using Fedora or whether there is a reigistry conflict with setiboinc, as stated am not both projs. simo....I do however have boinc 3.20 installed in the setiboinc directory and of course boinc 4.02 in climate directory....I thought if in seperate directories no problem, perhaps I am mistaken. Sorry for the long confusing post @shady and @hef...your help is more than greatly appreciated. I just got kinda bummed over at setiboinc, and wanted to try CPDN, I like CPDN...just need to get all my ducks in a row.... |
