I've done some searching around here and on google, and nobody else seems to have this problem. Whenever I run BOINC 4.19 on Linux, CPDN starts running, and doesn't stop or switch to other projects periodically. Being an equal-opportunity BOINC user, I'd like to find out how to solve this problem. Any assistance would be appreciated. |

Looking at your stats you returned a trickle for the first time on Tuesday. My guess is that CPDN has a large resource debt that it needs to make up, so BOINC will continue run it until BOINC considers that the resource share has balanced out between all your projects. I just started running CPDN after doing some upgrades on my computers, so that makes a lot of sense. > My guess is that CPDN has a large resource debt that it needs to make up, so > BOINC will continue run it until BOINC considers that the resource share has > balanced out between all your projects. I'm not sure if this is the case. On my two Windows boxes, CPDN gets the same timeshare as the other 4 projects. On Linux, CPDN ran for 4 days straight until I stopped it just to see what happened. When I restarted boinc, it ran through the other projects for an hour each, then went on to CPDN again, nonstop. It almost seems like boinc doesn't know when/how to pause the process. |
