I have 5 transfers all sat at 100% progress but all keep retrying every few hours for the last 5 days or more, begining to piss me off now, how do I clear them, other than uninstalling CP. Martin |

The 100% is a bug. While the transfer hasn't reached 1%, it shows 100%. It would be a shame to loose the science from the run so I would take a copy of at least those 5 files plus any 16wv*.xml files in case BOINC decides to give up trying. Are you allowing it sufficient time connected to internet to try to upload the files? What sort of internet connection have you got? Anything changed about connection / firewall / proxy server since last upload? |

I dont have time for sending files manualy, there should be the facility within the program, this seems like a bug that needs to be addressed IMO I posted in the hope there would be a simple fix, I have lost interest in CP nowdays to devote it much of my time, maybe its time I bowed out. |

Martin Your data seems to all be there on your account page: the results for all 3 phrases of both temp and precip, and the graphs for both totals. The 'granted credit' is the correct value, and 'CPU time' is about right. So the only thing missing is the last 'connection to server', which tells it to change the status of the model. I don't know what info is sent, but when I've finished an upload, I do an 'Update' to send it. As you've connected to the server several times with the new model, this info should have been sent. Have the 5 zips been uploaded since your last message? I suspect that there is some sort of server problem at Oxford, as several people, myself included, have sent data that is not displayed. As for a 'simple fix', there are thousands; it's a matter of finding the right one in this case. :) Hang in there for a bit longer. Les |

Your firewall might be blocking access to the upload server for the result. If you haven't allowed unrestricted access to port 80 from BOINC your best solution would be to do that. If you don't want to give BOINC open access on port 80 you'll have to specifically allow access for all the CPDN servers. I believe that this is still the current list, with the last 3 being the upload servers. climateprediction.net climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk cpdn-upload1.comlab.ox.ac.uk uploader1.atm.ox.ac.uk phkup21.unibe.ch "The ultimate test of a moral society is the kind of world that it leaves to its children." - Dietrich Bonhoeffer |

hi Ted. The CPDN server does not have you listed as having any credit as yet (see the stats next to the name on your post). Did you sign up for the forum under a different a/c to your crunching? Has your model made any successful \'trickles\' yet? Where did you get the credit figure from? In general you get credit soon after each trickle, tho this can take a few days if one of the servers goes down at a weekend for example. Once you get credit, so does the team you are attached to at the time. If you join a team, they don\'t get your old credit, just what you trickle while you are there. If you change teams you can\'t take your credit back either. Finally, it can take up to another 25hours for credit info to reach third party stats sites, like the excellent BOINCstats - so the sig panel below might be a day out of date already... River~~ |

Trickle info is transfered to user\'s accounts approx every half hour. Credits are generated approx every 12 hours. The stats xml files are generated once a day. These are what the external stats site use to get their data. I think that this is also when the three team lists are updated on this site. As River says: you don\'t show any credits on your account, and it would have taken a while to get that many. You don\'t even show any computers in your account. So, not much we can do to help you further. Edit Credits are now generated once a day. (The database is getting bloated.) |

Hi to everybody, I\'ve four files that are trying to upload from several days... the message I receive is like the following one: 11/01/2006 11.44.33|climateprediction.net|Temporarily failed upload of 3oip_000193470_0_4.zip: error 413 Any suggestion? Thanks PS: I\'m always connected, and never had problems in the past.. |

I suggest you copy the 4 files so if it permanently fails instead of temporary failures after 2 weeks, you will still have the files and the science won\'t be lost. I don\'t know what the problem is but it occured to me that you may not have uploaded any large files before. Could there be a size limit on your firewall? Thanks for the suggestion, I\'ll talk about it with our network-manager (also to verify the possible problems with our proxy). Anyway the file size is between 1.4Mb and 2.1Mb ... it doesn\'t seems \"huge\"! After copying the four files, is there a differet way to upload them? Thanks! I suggest you copy the 4 files so if it permanently fails instead of temporary failures after 2 weeks, you will still have the files and the science won\'t be lost. |

Will sort out a method when/if you report a permanent failure. HTH Visit BOINC WIKI for help And join BOINC Synergy for all the news in one place. |

I think (and fear) that the following msg is a permanent failure: 17/01/2006 0.28.22|climateprediction.net|Started upload of 3oip_000193470_0_3.zip 17/01/2006 0.28.28|climateprediction.net|Temporarily failed upload of 3oip_000193470_0_3.zip: error 413 17/01/2006 0.28.28|climateprediction.net|Giving up on upload of 3oip_000193470_0_3.zip: too much elapsed time 17/01/2006 0.43.13|climateprediction.net|Started upload of 3oip_000193470_0_2.zip 17/01/2006 0.43.19|climateprediction.net|Temporarily failed upload of 3oip_000193470_0_2.zip: error 413 17/01/2006 0.43.19|climateprediction.net|Giving up on upload of 3oip_000193470_0_2.zip: too much elapsed time Please let me know what can I do to make the results available... many thanks! Just looked at your host details and... Average upload rate 0.51 KB/sec It\'s really low rate even for classic 20st century dial-up modem; but your download rate of 777.42 KB/sec is fine. Bad measurement? Is your upload rate really so slow? Or you have some net-limiter on upload? In first and second case, I would stop BOINC and edit client_state.xml so that upload timeestimation is fine (you can duplicate number from bwdown) in case BOINC restricts slow uploads. <net_stats> <bwup>nnnn</bwup> <bwdown>nnnn</bwdown> </net_stats> <i>phpBB forum for CPDN, all are </i><a href="http://www.climateprediction.net/board">invited</a> |

I am getting about the same thing (error 500 however) and I am on wireless broadband, so i get about 3MB down most of the time |

I introduced the changes, but now its probably too late: the files do not appear in the transfer window after the permanent failure, even if I add them back to the directory. Can I send the result-files by e-mail, or upload them \"manually\" on a server? Suggestions? Thanks PS: I\'m on a 10Mb LAN, and I generally upload up to 300KB/s or similar Just looked at your host details and... |
