I installed my boinc 1st on my drive c but soon it was running out of space. I deleted it and re-installed to a bigger drive (sad that havent seen any hints about it before). Now I am not getting any work units (Message from server: No work available) from cp.net although I have also reset the project. Is this a temporary lock or just really no work available? |

There is work available, try detaching from project and then reattaching. This should help, I hope. |

What drive have you installed on? There was some concern that BOINC expected to be on C drive. |

I've not myself had a problem with installing BOINC on a non-system drive, and my advice would certainly be not to have it on C (or whatever your system drive is called). Moving the folder to the new drive and reinstalling BOINC to that new location should not normally cause any difficulties. Deleting the old folder instead is not so good, and I'd suspect a problem with the new client_state.xml file. The choice at the moment is between version 4.19 of BOINC and 4.43 (available from the BOINC site at UC Berkeley), which has a different interface and scheduler. If 4.19 is the one giving trouble, then uninstalling and going to the new one might be worthwhile, but be warned that some people with ATI video cards or Intel integrated graphics are then unable to see the visualisation. |
