I participate to Seti@home and now to climate predicton. As we all know, there is a limited period of time to send back the downloaded work.

In Ciimateprediction, I received 3 units, and I should have them processed for 21/06/06. How can I do that when I read that it will take me something like 475 hour for each WU ? I still have my seti@home units to process and I also need my computer for my day-to-day work. And yet, I prudently choose to ask for only 3 days of work !

You probably use CC4.43: It's a bug that has been corrected in the alpha 4.45,AFAIK
Well, you can abort the CPDN wus that you don't want to crunch: they'll be send again to another user by the server in a couple of months

Look at the deadline closely....

It says 21/06/06.....21st June 2006........next year....you have plenty of time

I was, at first "puzzled" when I first joind (BTW that was just a few days ago) and seen what I thought was a WU that was already overdue. It was 5/?/06 and I read it as 05. I also participate in SETI, as well as several other's. Einstein, predictor and distributed.net. SETI is my "main" intrest having been a member since 99. But back to your question:) Not to over simplify your question, just do the simple math. One year is 8760 hours. (approx. using 365x24)475 times 3 is "only" 1425 hrs. This sould leave plenty on crunching for SETI, but if you feel this "shorts" SETI you can allways "abort" one or two of the WU's and set the connect time lower? I set mine for .5 days and it only gave me one. If you don't fine this helpful, I understand, I get that alot:) but I just joined and felt like making a post... hehe
