Well...not quite perhaps...... I have to say I see my unix box making much much better/faster progress than any windows client.....have other people seen this too? <img src="http://www.boincsynergy.com/images/stats/comb-1091.jpg"></img><br><img src="http://www.iantighe.com/setisig.jpg"></img><img border="0" src="http://boinc.mundayweb.com/one/teamStats.php?userID=1602&prj=1&trans=off"> |

Yes, Linux runs faster than Windows. |

This info is way too late. To me it's pure nonchalance. They don't understand that running a BOINC project needs time and resources. There are so many other projects out there that knows how to run distributed computing. Yes, I'm off. |

Well I'm here from seti because of problems.....we will run out of bolt holes soon I guess. <img src="http://www.boincsynergy.com/images/stats/comb-1091.jpg"></img><br><img src="http://www.iantighe.com/setisig.jpg"></img><img border="0" src="http://boinc.mundayweb.com/one/teamStats.php?userID=1602&prj=1&trans=off"> |

Looks like trickles are making it in, but the verification and addition of credits is no longer working, again. I have had several trickles come in, and no credit added. Now that it's the weekend in the UK, I suspect this will not be fixed until next week. Also no XML stats have been created since the outage. Oh well, I still crunch, and am patient. <img src="http://seti.mundayweb.com/stats.php?userID=344&trans=off"> <img src="http://boinc.mundayweb.com/one/stats.php?userID=584&trans=off"> |

Its the best way to keep cool at these high temperatures out there: Not to excite themselves and to retain a cool head. Ciao and a nice weekend! |

Well, yes, the trickles do show up on time, therefore I know, I have some 300-400 credits to receive. So, my question to project managers: When will this be fixed (I beleive it will take much longer than a few days) and why didn't you in the first place enlarge the storage space on trickle server when it filled up for the first time? P.S. It would also be about time you repaired the XML exports. Happy crunching, <img border="0" src="http://boinc.mundayweb.com/one/stats.php?userID=2086"> |

* Please, before we start judging on someones actions. STOP ! Besides that, it has been reported that the trickle issue was related to MySQL. If the issue was related to storage-space, than a lot of trickles would have been lost ! Eric.ie *) Sorry, does not work in plain html |

As far as I know (umm, where is that thread? O.K. Can't find the thread, but you can check this <a href="http://www.climateprediction.net/newsb.php?id=0">news item</a>: ...The immediate problem was due to a server which had filled up... ) both times this year when trickles stoped flowing, it was storage problem and not database. CPDN has a nice ability, to report past trickles, so that is why they didn't get lost. And IMO, my question was more rethorical wondering than passing a judgement. Note the news section of CPDN, a planned outage in order to actually fix the db problem [hopefully the trickle, credit and misallocated WU issue] http://climateprediction.net/newsb.php?id=0 _________________________ <i>Everyday i wished classic phpBB forum being back and after 60 prayers, all are </i><a href="http://www.climateprediction.net/board">invited</a> |

Just in case it's worth mentioning: Finished on 20th June, 72 trickles, Outcome Success, No P3 Run Info, odd credit http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/result.php?resultid=862571 I also have one where everything looks okay, but server state still in progress http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/result.php?resultid=769760 I presume that if there are any problems with these models server-side, someone will contact me via email... :) |
