It has been a long time since I have updated the site. The site is still a little \'funky\' from the change my provider made to the PHP engine, if there is a page that does not work, let me know by e-mail and I will get back and fix it for you.

*** Major change ***
I am going to be making a major change to the site in about a week. All of the error messages that were in the FAQ are now available in the Wiki (actually I have a *LOT* more messages documented in the Wiki, and most of the messages now have at least one example for a log file); so, I am going to turn off that part of the FAQ in one week. I think I can re-route the major routes in to ease the troubles.
Also, some of the other parts of the FAQ will be turned off. I have most of the FAQ over in the Wiki also, so, be prepared.

As I reach other major milestones I will be turning off selected parts of the system one by one. For example, now when you look-up a word in the old site, it *SHOULD* take you to the Wiki Glossary for that term.

As I always say, everyone needs a hobby ...

To be truthful, talking to people on the message boards is the way I 'get out of the house' as it were ...

The other, is just a hope that some will be able to find an answer, learn something, or try something new, by virture of my collection. I mean, even with running as hard as I can, can never seem to catch up. But, something is better than nothing.

And, "oh, by the way", it gives me something to do... I hate TV, I already read 1-5 books a week, and I have always wanted to do reseach... Now, I can do research, while I exercise my professional training as a systems engineer, and write technical material and teach, my favorite passtime.

As always, I have this hope that some will enjoy the work, stumble on one of those little "gems" I have hidden in the text and find them as funny as I did when I wrote them there ...

A big advantage of your explanations is that you don't assume that everyone is an expert and already understands the lingo.

Better still, I am real anal about making sure you can test my language with the precise meaning of terms and phrases. :)

And thank you for that. Yes, it is easy to assume knowledge that may not be present. And at times it is a tough line to toe ... how to explain it so the novice understand, but not to be so non-technical that the more experienced can't get value out of the documentation.

I think the Wiki is coming along well, though there are still a LOT of pages that have to come over. I have still some lingering pages for the Application Owner's Manual ... I need to redo the installation guide (depressing thought).

Ah well, the work is never done ...
