Hi I\'m referring to http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/download.php There is the following: [list of computer types] then there\'s this bit: \" If your computer is not one of the above types, you can download and compile the BOINC software yourself \" yes we can compile it ourselves but the resulting binary won\'t get work from the cpdn server because the cpdn server doesn\'t know about the machine type, only those that are downloadable. well you're right of course if it's a machine not listed in the three shown, but for people that would prefer to run their own compiled BOINC client on a Mac, Linux 32-bit x86, or Windows they could compile their own version and attach to CPDN. |
