In the past day I've noticed that my credit has gone down from roughly 2931 to 567 (according to Boinc Manager).

Is this to do with the outage earlier on today or a bug in BoincManager?

Will I get my credit back?
(The science is the most important, but I'd like my bragging rights restored please)

Anyone know what happened?

Boinc 4.45, WinXP SP2
BOINC installed as a service though recently installed BoincView

From Carl:

I took a look at the database, it seems there are about 500 records with a userid but no hostid in the results table (or vice versa), and 1000 records with a hostid and no userid. The host table has a 192 records with no userid, so that helped propagate this problem.

I assume these were probably botched merges, i.e. merges done when the database was having trouble (I'm really starting to hate mysql -- oracle was much more stable). so it probably deleted the host record OK but couldn't update the (overworked) result table. There's not really much more to do, fixing credits always turns out to be a futile effort and I probably shouldn't have bothered this time! You fix credits for 1000 people and it messes it up for 1000 more....
****************************

Bugger, so I've lost nearly 2500 credits (if I've read it correctly)?

My current 'Credit score' of 567.11 come from only one result dated 12 Jun 2005 1:59:17 UTC.

From <a href="http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/results.php?userid=30015">here</a>

I have definately returned more valid results.

:(

Hopefully not, mines gone from 123,000 originally (all made up of properly allocated models when I checked my own data record here at home) first, down to 102,000 and then right down to 28,000 but I've PM'd Carl with the "lost" ones of mine which hopefully should be a bit of info help him to track down the problem for everyone and get things back.

I lost 53k. (over 50%)

From looking at "what left", looks like it's roughly everything from computers that I merged.

For example, I have no finished results from before CP bumped the "per trickle" credit up a while back.

I know this were not miss-allocated credits, as I've seen my totals grow as they sould since starting with CP.
