My computer has been trying to upload a result (note: not a trickle, a full result) for three days now. Are your servers down? |

There are, apparently, network problems at Oxford, caused by the building work as foretold in the news on this sites front page. It should all get fixed in about 24 hours time when the staff start turning up for work. I have two models waiting, and there are other people as well. |

I have one waiting to upload ... with the long run times it is hard to imagine the conincidence.
BOINC-Wiki |

I've got the same problem with uploader1.atm.ox.ac.uk, so I guess it's related to last week's networking problems.
Join us here |

Hmmm, Well, I only have one computer that seems to be in rouble with some trickles backlogged and a model completed. Oh, my ... well, all 6 of the other computers that are running CPDN have a trickle registered as of the 23rd. But, a re-boot did not cure the connection problem of the one ... it is getting -106 errors, which seems odd if the other computers are able to connect. Anyone know off hand the URL of the up/load download server?
BOINC-Wiki |

> Anyone know off hand the URL of the up/load > download server? As well as the servers at Oxford, there is another in Bern Switzerland that is having its own problems. See Carl's post here. But that would not explain the trickle problems. |

Hmmm, I don't think they are trickles ... so, they seem to be the result data files _1 to _5 ... so, I guess I am having problems with the upload only ... Though that machine has another WU downloaded which does not seem to be in the list of work for that computer ... interesting ... Oh WOW! A computer I have only had since July has results listed from earlier this year? My account looks to be VERY well hamered ... computer ID 193904 started work in July when I bought it and has not finished any of the first 4 work units it started with, but seems to have collected work units form somewhere else to the tune of 41 extras ... It looks like they are mine, at least one of them is anyway, I found I had the work directry saved off. But, it is impossible for the comptuer to have done the work before I bought it ...
BOINC-Wiki |

But, it is impossible for the comptuer to have done > the work before I bought it ... This was a result of the credits recalculation done by Carl a few weeks back. Credits from computers that were merged into other computers couldn't be tracked correctly (sorry I don't have a link to the relevant thread/threads), so the credits from merged computers were given to the highest host ID# of the user. |

Are there still model upload problems? Have had one for a few days now that keeps re-trying to upload. Have been messing with my firewall just need to make sure I have not screwed anything up. There was a server outage. My "stalled" model just uploaded. So, you may want to try again. SETI@Home looks to still be off the air ... I hope you did not break the settings while trying to "fix" them ... :)
BOINC-Wiki |

Looks like Climate has caught a bit of the SETI BOINC bug at the moment, let's hope that they can get back to healthy with less turmoil than the SETI BOINC folks are enduring. |

Can be a problem if at the end of Phase 3 though. I am only a little over ½ way through Phase 1. I turned the network connection off so it will not try this and SETI, my SETI units have a due date of 5 Sept. so they can wait also. Won't get credit for tham for a long time anyways. Cheers Ray P.S.: My last 4 parts went in when others were have problems connecting, don't know why though. Well my model has not transferred up after 4 days...my trickles seem somewhat random in going but seem to go in big chunks of 6 or 8. No seti units left, no LHC to crunch bar the odd one that completes very quickly and Einstein doesn't seem to be sending me anything right now. So only one new cpdn model and 2 in progress. I actually have idle CPUs; amazing! |

It has now been 11 days since my computer commenced its attempts to upload your result. I'm going to abort it soon if you don't fix the problem with your servers. |
