Between Saturday (9/10) and Sunday (9/11) 05: My RAC ropped from over 800 to 132.66. Is this due to the recent RAC code change? I guess I need to check my bank account in case of some curse. |

BOINC Server Upgrade Done -- RAC Calc Changed, originial message at phpBB forum - http://www.climateprediction.net/board/viewtopic.php?t=3197 quiting Carl OK, the BOINC server upgrade (software, not hardware!) seems to be done, the web pages are updated as well as the underlying BOINC software. The BOINC forums have improved quite a bit I think (although I\'m sure the phpboard fans will still stay here! Smile I think I have the final RAC credit algorithm for CPDN -- let me know what you think. Basically it\'s like the regular BOINC RAC -- I sort of weight a vector of trickles with the \"exponential decay\" calc (so a week old trickle is half-full-credit for expavg_credit) etc. It seems to get numbers more in line with other projects, and weights recent trickles higher so it\'s more sensible for CPDN. and you\'re not as penalized if you have a slower machine (since before I was taking \"average trickle date\" which is not so great). <i>phpBB forum for CPDN, all are </i><a href="http://www.climateprediction.net/board">invited</a> |

I\'ve been running for 15 hours on a 2.8G P4 since my last post about RAC. I\'m not showing any new tricks. No change in RAC nor TC either. Has any one increased the number of timesteps per tricle for faster machines? |

Has any one increased the number of timesteps per tricle for faster machines? No, I don\'t think so. This trickle listing stuff has been broken since about 20 UTC on the 11th. |
