When this machine, http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/show_host_detail.php?hostid=698, tries to run benchmarks, the wu get\'s removed from memory and stops crunching. I have it set to keep in memory so why is it doing that? BOINC CC 4.45 edit: Here is an example of the log file: 2005-10-11 08:36:58 [---] Suspending computation and network activity - running CPU benchmarks 2005-10-11 08:36:58 [climateprediction.net] Pausing result 1s47_000103945_1 (removed from memory) 2005-10-11 08:37:00 [---] Running CPU benchmarks 2005-10-11 08:37:08 [---] Aborting CPU benchmarks, one or more active tasks are still running. 2005-10-11 08:37:08 [---] Resuming computation and network activity 2005-10-11 08:37:08 [---] request_reschedule_cpus: Resuming activities 2005-10-11 08:37:09 [---] request_reschedule_cpus: process exited |

Because that is what was intended to happen with that version. A long time ago, there were tests for memory speed. Those were take out, but the remove from memory while running benchmarks was not changed. There is a rumor that the new version due out soon will no longer remove the appllications from memory. |

If you mean that CPDN does not start crunching again after the benchmark, then that is a problem with BOINC 4.45 and CPDN. You can use 4.45b downloadable from this thread to get rid of this problem. |
