Looking at my model with viz and... There is a definite and persistent visual discontinuity in the clouds displayed at 0 deg longitude and 180 deg longitude. Similar effects can be seen less markedly for some of the other longitude segments. There is no similar effect visible for any of the other displays.

Is this a quirk of just my model, viz, or something else?

The temperature view also shows good examples of out of range (white) temperatures (:-))

Here is one example:

Martin

I guess this is hadsm3_4.02, because it's fixed in 4.03, except you can still get white cells in very hot areas which will be "not found" in 4.04

Yep. I'm still running the beta stuff:

hadsm3_4.02_i686-pc-linux-gnu
hadsm3se_4.02_i686-pc-linux-gnu
hadsm3um_4.02_i686-pc-linux-gnu
hadsm3viz_4.02_i686-pc-linux-gnu

Aside: Their .zip files are left undeleted after being uncompressed. Is this tidied up in the later versions?

nah, because BOINC will think there's a problem since it only knows about the zip files. I believe on an upgrade it will get rid of the 4.02 zip files and put the 4.03 files there. although come to think of it the 4.02 execs will probably then remain!
