Hang in there, while we try to \'activate\' you.

Your first model had problems with the screensaver. If it\'s something to do with graphics, make sure that your drivers are up to date.
Also, we recommend that people DON\'T use a screensaver, as it takes up cpu cylcles. The older the graphics card, the more cycles taken.
Setting it to \'blank\' is better.

Also, some AV programs are agressive, and lock files before checking them. This causes the science app to trip up and crash. Excluding the BOINC folder from checking will help in this case.
I use AVG without exclusions or problems.

Hi Cabbage,

You are running Linux, and, unfortunately, the 4.23 sulphur version on Linux is unstable. See this sticky in the Linux BOINC Questions and Problems Forum/Message Board.

Thanks all. I don\'t know how I missed the sticky about instability on 4.23 and Linux... Have set to \"no new work\" now to avoid wasting work units!
