I have added a way to update stats for "classic CPDN" users, if your BOINC username equals your "classic CPDN" username you should be OK. But to verify, go to your user prefs page (and you can edit from there also if your name is different etc). The update is run every four hours as part of the usual "classic CPDN" stats generation, so it will not appear immediately on your user page! I just ran a batch so if your names match you should see your old CPDN stats as of today. I have made "equivalencies" so that you can figure out how many "Hadsm3 model-years" from cobblestones and vice-versa (it's holding at .007 cobblestones per timestep). Future models can be benchmarked against the "HadSM3 model-year" computational unit (so we can compare models easily etc). |

Carl, sorry, but it seems as if there are two different Yetis in the world of CPDN and BOINC. Please check my User-Page, there is shown, I had run classic-version, with last trickle at 31.May 2004 Sorry, I never had run the classic-version (because I'm a really BOINC freak ;-) ) Supporting BOINC, because it is really a great concept ! |

OK, if that's another "yeti" you can just erase the "original CPDN username" in your user prefs. |

Just checked it, Original climateprediction.net Username sayed: (None) Supporting BOINC, because it is really a great concept ! |

> Just checked it, Original climateprediction.net Username sayed: > (None) that's fine, because of the BOINC caching of web pages, it will probably take an hour to disappear. |

Carl, you have been right, now it looks fine. Thanks a lot ! Supporting BOINC, because it is really a great concept ! |

This a great idea :) Now I only need checking in on my BOINC-account to see how I am doing. I still have 2 machines crunshing the 4 phase Thermohaline project. I couldn't even think of terminating these just to raise my BOINC-score, so I am glad that my work for the CPDN Classic shows up on my stats-page. :) The Folks at SETI could learn something from You Carl.. ;) ChrisD |

I have set the classic CPDN user name for my "Home" machine to be the user name I used to use (and signed up for BOINC with the same user name) - but I see no sign of my classic credits. I can imagine a few different reasons for this - but one of the most obvious would be that the update is no longer happening, or is happening far less frequently, so before I try lots of different alternatives, I want to see if you are still doing that update procedure. The second obvious category of problem is that I had used two different user names - it was set as my e-mail address by default when I signed up, and it was only after a month or so that I switched over to my current user name. Since the form says something like "original CPDN classic user name" it is a bit unclear whether the critical thing is the most recent user name, or the first name ever used. Since I was credited with 7 complete runs under CPDN classic, I would kind of like to get that credit back, but don't want to push too hard. Feel free to contact me directly via e-mail if that is more appropriate Don Dresser user name: lornix e-mail: dee jay dee at eye ess dee dot en eee tee |

Same here as lornix. I had a different classic cpdn user name as what I started with, but I switched it a while before I moved over to BOINC. Still, though, no sign of the work I did in classic cpdn on my BOINC stats page. *AMD Athlon XP 3000+ 2.17 Ghz, crunching @ ~2.5 s/ts *Intel Pentium III 500 Mhz, crunching @ ~10.3 s/ts |

Both my BOINC and CPDN classic ID's are "leppardb". I have also manually entered my classic ID into the appropriate place in my settings but I still haven't seen the my old credits show up on the BOINC side. I have 3000+ model years on CPDN classic. Am I doing something wrong? |
